BRITISH DESIGN. RECYCLED MATERIALS.
Coral Eyewear was founded in 2019 to create high-quality, recycled glasses and sunglasses using materials such as rescued fishing nets. The company is led by Calvin Bailey who has previously held management roles with independent opticians and major optical retailers such as Boots Opticians.
Our optical frames are now stocked in over 300 stores across the UK and Australia, and we’ve sold thousands of pairs of glasses and sunglasses to countries across the world.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
THE PROBLEM
There are approximately 640,000 tonnes of abandoned fishing nets in our oceans. The majority of eyewear brands use virgin plastic, further contributing to damaging the planet.
THE SOLUTION
We only use recycled or bio-based materials for our frames such as ECONYL, the material made from rescued waste found at sea and in landfills. We use recyclable packaging and our carbon-neutral delivery offsets environmental shipping costs too.
